Transcription Certification Institute was launched in November, 2008. It was started by a group with over 15 years of experience as transcriptionists, proofreaders, and transcription company ownership. Each partner had its own realm of experience. The company owner felt the need for trained transcriptionists, the transcriptionist and proofreader wanted someone to guide them through the initial stages and give them relevant experienceand together the concept came up.

With all of this experience under our belts, it is our intent to provide you with the experience you need in order to become a certified general transcriptionist. We are located in Irvine. All lessons and quizzes are available online and you can be in any part of the US and take the course we have compiled.

Our associations with transcription companies became useful. We made them realize that trained transcriptionists save them money on proofreading and accuracy check. They approved of the course content and agreed to provide internship programs.

Until now 167 transcriptionists have applied for the course. 129 completed the course and of those 111 found placements and are earning more than their contemporaries because of the accuracy and skills they have acquired.
